Prilect' electric travelling iron (complete) in tin, with detachable handle, electric lead, plug and light switch socket, 1948-1960.
This simple travel iron was made possible by many technological advances - including the development of stainless steel, synthetic materials and electricity supplies; and a growing demand for portable appliances prompted by mass transport and the 'golden age of travel'.
