Illuminated Address, presenting dispensation to accept members by the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants to the Rowsley Branch, enrolled on 29 April 1894. Printed. 19 October 1910.

Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants illuminated address issued on 19 October 1910 to its branch in Rowsley, Derbyshire. It authorised the branch, which was established in 1894, to transact business on behalf of the union and to recruit members. The address is illustrated with scenes of railways and railway workers.

The ASRS was founded in 1871 to represent railway workers. By 1910 is had about 100,000 members, making it one of Britain's largest trade unions. In 1913 it merged with two other unions to form the National Union of Railwaymen.
