Poschl's 'Gletscher Prise' (translates to glacier pinch) menthol snuff in blue plastic box, made by Alois Poschl Tabakfabriken, Germany, c.1999.
Snorting finely powdered tobacco, known as snuff, was more popular in the past but still continues today. This product is flavoured with Columbian oil, giving a slight minty, menthol taste and is made by a Germany company, Alois Pöschl Tabakfabriken, founded in 1902. The brand name of this snuff Gletscher Prise translates as ‘Glacier Pinch’. There is some debate about the health implications of taking snuff.
