Photographs, an album of 78 albumen, platinum and printing out paper prints and 1 loose albumen print, probably compiled by J Briggs and featuring railway construction projects, particularly on the Midland Railway and Great Northern Railway, 1889 - 1894. Album: black leather covers, 510 x 350 x 82mm, with gold and blind tooling on covers, 40 pages, prints 7 1/2 x 5 1/2 to 14 x 9 1/2 ins. Fair condition. Some cockling and foxing to pages, some prints stained. Conserved in 1999.
