Silver print of Heslop Engine as it stood at Wreah Pit Whitehaven June 1879, framed and glazed

This shows the engine by Heslop, inv. 1878-94, as it appeared at Wreah Pit, Whitehaven, Cumbria, just before being taken down. It shows also a cast-iron beam, 4 or 5 ft. above the main beam, to which it is connected by links, used for independent pumping. This beam is not now on the engine.
