



One of three 'Ecliptoglass' eclipse viewers used by Frederick Irving and his parents from Yorkshire, to view the total solar eclipse visible over England and Wales on June 29th 1927. The filter is thought to be made from photographic film exposed to daylight and developed to produce a silver film. Supplier's name Croisdale, 36 Briggate, Leeds stamped on viewer & envelope.
