1 of 4 demonstration models of engines. Model of Horizontal Gas Engine, Four stroke engine, sectioned with three poppet valves, gas in let and exhaust. The valves should be driven from a crankshaft at the back which is turned by screw gears from the crankshaft.

Single cylinder slide valve, horizontal steam engine with trunk guides. Single eccentric, 16inch flywheel, 3 inch bore by 6 inch stroke, with flickering govenor. Made in 1956 for driving the economisers at Bridge Mills, Hadfield. Manufactured by E Green and Son Ltd, Wakefield/Manchester.
