Amsler's planimeter by Elliott, with arrangement for giving directly the mean heights of indicator diagrams

This is an ordinary planimeter of the proportional type, used to calculate the area of an enclosed figure drawn on paper, as with the diagram produced by a steam engine indicator. It is arranged so that the mean heights of indicator diagrams can be directly read.
