"New" continuous drum steam engine indicator

"New" continuous drum steam engine indicator and 1 stroke reducing gear

This indicator, patented by the makers between 1879 and 1907, is generally similar to inv. 1896-103, but it has an external spring and is fitted with a special drum for automatically taking a series of diagrams on a continuous strip of paper. This type of drum is very useful where the load varies constantly, as in winding or rolling mill engines, and also when it is desired to take separate diagrams at intervals too short to allow of the card being changed in the ordinary way.
