6" Bourdon type Pressure Gauge, graduated to 300 lbs per sq. in., with glass dial, showing interior, no.5695833

This is a modern steam pressure gauge of the Bourdon type. The Bourdon tube is of bronze, of elliptical cross-section bent into a circular shape, and the movement of the free end is communicated to the pointer as usual by toothed quadrant and pinion. The whole of the working parts of the gauge are, for greater accuracy, built up on the central boss and are independent of the case. The gauge is suitable for pressures up to 300 lb. per sq. in.
