3" pressed steel Rockwood Union, with bronze seats, in section

These are examples of the pipe union patented by the Rockwood Sprinkler Co., in 1914. The unions are made of pressed steel and are fitted with spherical faced bronze seats which are ground together to form a tight joint. They are designed for working pressures up to 500 lb. per sq. in. and are specially suited for air pressure mains.
