British Rail logo

Made:
1968

Sign, openwork on frame, British Rail with double arrow logo, enamelled lettering, ex facade of Bristol Temple Meads Station. In 1965 a corporate rebranding saw British Railways re-launched as British Rail and created the famous ‘double arrow’ logo that is still used today. The revamp extended to trains, ships, silver and ceramic ware, stationery, uniforms and signage.
