A dressmaker's aptitude test comprised of needles, bodkins, pins and 24 pieces of webbing with red thread attached, 1921-1939. The kit also includes Morall's Mulberry toilet pins, Dewberry toilet pins and Cox and Company's gold medal needles. This kit is taken from a collection of vocational and other psychological tests from the National Institute of Industrial Psychology (NIIP). Founded in 1921, the Institute brought the scientific study of work psychology to Great Britain. Through testing, they aimed to match people with certain innate skills to relevant tasks, thus making them both more productive and happier in their work.
