Electrode winding machine

Electrode winding machine (1958) made at the Burden Neurological Institute. Seven insulated wires making up the sheaf are stretched between the two ends of the winding frame and kept taut by elastic bands. The small end is rotated by a gramophone motor at about 1 revolution per second. Finished electrodes were stored in glass tubes prior to sterilisation and insertion.
