Three items: Lind anemometer, 1775; Biram anemometer, 1846; Robinson cup anemometer, 1843.

Many forms of anemometer have been devised to measure wind force but the four-cup pattern produced in 1846 by Robinson remained in use for longer than most. This example was made by F Darton and Company. It is graduated in miles and tenths of a mile to five hundred miles. Smaller versions are used today for hand-held instruments.
