Pocket aneroid barograph by Richard Freres, c 1919.

A barograph records changes in air pressure. This pocket instrument was designed as an altigraph, for use by mountaineers or airmen. The chart is printed to give heights up to 6000 metres. The pen, controlled by clockwork, makes a dot on the chart every half-minute, rather than a continuous trace.
