Grey-lacquered brass sextant, Admiralty-pattern frame type with Bakelite handle containing battery for scale illumination and push-button control by Henry Hughes and Son Ltd, London, England, 1942-1947. Consists of inlaid silver 130° scale (-5° to 130°) with 1° divisions and plastic drum micrometer reading to 1’, four filter shades (all green), two horizon shades (both green). Fitted with threaded telescope bracket for telescope (148 mm) inverted image, wit four cross-wires.
