Two plane speculums and two polishers by Lassell, with Lassell's M.S. directions

These are relics of William Lassell (1799-1880), an English astronomer who after studying Lord Rosse's methods made first a two-foot reflecting telescope and then a 4-foot reflector which he used in Malta.
