Ebony framed sextant with polished brass limb and ivory inlaid plate on the cross-piece for Edward Troughton, Fleet Street, London,1785-95. Scale marked for 121° (-5° to 138°) with tangent clamping and screw on the rear of the index arm. Fitted three index shades (two red, one green), threaded telescope bracket with a swivelling shutter and perpendicular adjustment.
