Working model of John Wyatt's original Cart-Weighing machine, made for the "Overseers of the Poor" parish of Birmingham in 1741. Scale 1:18, capacity 2lb = 1 ton, size 23" x 15" ( base) by 12" high to top of weighouse. Made in metal on mahogany base with lift up panel in front to withdraw weighing mechanism for demonstration
