Master Tailor"'s Cloth Ell of Polished wood inlaid witth bone, Flanders and North German, prior to 1815. Marked with two scales on opposite faces. Handle with bone collar. (a) 27 1/2" divided into 4 quarters of 6 7/8" for Brabant, Ostend and Ypres. (b) 23" divided into 4 quarters of 5 3/4" for North German Baltic cities, Hanover etc.
