Set of 11 conical brass standard Imperial capacity measures by Doyle and Son, London. Inscribed "Corpn of Halifax. 1893." The set consists of the following measures: 5 gallon, 4 gallon, 2 gallon, 1 gallon, 1/2 gallon, 1 quart, 1 pint, 1/2 pint, 1 gill, 1/2 gill, 1/4 gill.
Set of eleven conical shaped volume measures made by Doyle & Son, London in 1893 for the town of Halifax, England. These are secondary standards that were used for reference purposes by the local authorities that enforced weights and measures regulations in their area.
