Model of hand-driven intermittent opposite direction rotary motion apparatus, on mahogany stand, by Richard Roberts, Manchester, England, 1857. The driving disc has eleven pins and the outer disc has 4 lobes and it takes 32 revolutions of the driving disc for one of the outer disc. Similarly, the inner disc only has three lobes and it takes 21 revolutions of the driver for one revolution of this disc.
