Vernier calliper by Holtzapffel for measuring up to 8" in 1/10" graduations and to an accuracy of 0.01" using the vernier.

Callipers were a standard measuring instrument of any mechanic, and remained in widespread use even after more precise measuring instruments such as the micrometer became available. This pair measures up to 8 inches to an accuracy of 0.01inch. These callipers were made by Holtzapffel another noted machine maker.
