Common groin, intersection of two cylinders having a pair of common tangents; the model may be set square or oblique
This model is directly applicable to architecture and allows the student to manipulate two intersecting cylinders to assist in the construction of vaulted roofs. The Science Museum is fortunate to have a set of 17 of these beautiful string models which were sent across the world.
