Loughborough-Hayes automatic timing apparatus. Used by the RAC to time motor sporting events from 1936 to 1962. Comprising; 1) Rythmic starter motor and lights. 2) Start and finish photocells. 3) 2 `hockey stick' switches. 4) Tuning fork. 5) Amplifier for maintaining the tuning fork and driving the chronography. 6) Chronograph. 7) Control box. 8) Connecting wires and loudspeaker
