Hewlett-Packard 9100A desktop electronic programmable calculator, with instruction manual, magnetic program cards, program library and pad, cover and power lead, introduced 1968. This desktop machine was Hewlett Packard's first calculator, and had a magnetic core memory, a printed circuit board ROM (read-only-memory), and a CRT (cathode ray tube) display. The calculator weighed 40 lb (18 kg) and cost under $5000 when first introduced.
