Early Chemical Matches (c.1810), in green-lacquered tin box with gold ornamentation, engraved WM FORREST CHEMIST & DRUGGIST, MARKET PLACE, GAINSBORO; containing 35 original matches, acid bottle and small candle. This box formed part of the fittings of a dressing case presented by George III to his surgeon
