This weather prognostication chart from 1815 helped its user make their own weather predictions by reading the positions of the Sun and Moon. Although titled ‘Herschel’s table’ by its publisher, renowned astronomer William Herschel denied any connection with it – even though he did believe that the Moon affected the weather.
