Print, hand-coloured etching, 'Looking at the Comet till you get a criek in the neck' / Thomas Rowlandson. Published by Thos. Tegg, in Cheapside [London], Price one shilling coloured. A satirical print of an older man, dressed in night gown and and cap using a spyglass to view the Great Comet of 1811 (Napoleon’s comet) in the top right of the illustration. The man is oblivious to the attention being paid by a young man to a young woman. The comet was visible 25 March 1811 to 17 August 1812.
