With: BBC 1922/1972: set of three stamps in pack, 50th Anniversary of the BBC, specially produced as a memento of the occasion for BBC staff. 11x16.5cm. Stamps designed by David Gentleman to represent the start of broadcasting: development of the microphone (3p), horn loudspeaker (5p), colour television camera 1972 (7 1/2p), Marconi/Kemp experiments 1897 [oscillator and spark transmitter] (9p); issued 13 September 1972 by Royal Mail.
