Painting, Portrait of Thomas Earnshaw (1749-1829), attributed to Sir Martin Archer Shee, 1798. Oil on canvas; 93 x 71 cm (36.5x28 ins) in gilt frame 120 x 99.5x11.5 cm (47.25x39.25x4.5 ins). Another version is in the National Maritime Museum, Greenwich. A version was exhibited at the Royal Academy London in 1798 (cat. 110). Portrait, TQL looking to L; beside L, chronometer.
