Photograph of Peter William Barlow (1809-1885), "P. W. Barlow C.E., F.R.S" by Maull & Polyblank. Studio albumen, 31x26cm., image 20x15cm, gilt border on card mount, portrait, TQL seated to R. Peter William Barlow associated with railways, bridges, tunnels and the development of tunneling. Henry Maull (1829-1914) was a photographer who specialised in portraits of famous people. He was in partnership with George Henry Polyblank 1856-1865.
