Marshall P. / 1775. - 1775. - Oil on panel, 47x67.8x1.2cm in gilt frame, 62x83.5x7cm. - Perspective painting at 45 degree angle from Navy Board original plans. - Commissioned in 1773 by King George III as part of a series of paired bow and stern paintings of British warship models, one example of each class of ship in the naval establishment. Ship designed by Sir John Williams; built Deptford Dockyard; launched 1774; 28 guns 6th Rate; harbour service 1799; broken up 1807
