Ship designed by Sir John Williams; built Adams & Co. Deptford, river Thames; launched 23 august 1774; 50 guns 4th Rate; dismasted in a gale and taken captive by the Sagittoire, French fleet 24 September 1778 off American east coast on passage from New York to Savannah
