D. ; [br] Marshall, Pt. / 1774. - 1774. - Oil on panel, 56.5x76.2x1.2cm in gilt frame, 73.5x92.5x7cm. - Perspective painting at 45 degree angle from Navy Board original plans. - Commissioned in 1773 by King George III as part of a series of paired bow and stern paintings of British warship models, one example of each class of ship in the naval establishment. Ship designed by Sir John Williams; built Sheerness Dockyard; launched 11 April 1770; 50 guns 4th Rate; store ship October 1800; prison hulk January 1802; sold out of the Navy 19 May 1817
