Portrait of Richard Trevithick (1771-1833) Cornish inventor and mining engineer developed the first high pressure steam engine and the first full-scale working railway steam locomotive.; John Linnell (1792-1882) was a well known English landscape and portrait painter and engraver. HL seated to R, looking front, with right hand pointing across and behind him to landscape.
