induction coil

Induction coil described as an 'electric ozonizer' and possibly used for freshening the air in a large room. Not fitted with an interrupter. Part of the Riviere collection, but mistakenly lost its A-number when accessioned. This is similar but not identical to the large induction coil attached to the D'Arsonval Cage as depicted in photos in Riviere's scrapbook in the Wellcome Library.
