Inhaler for use with liquid anaesthetic, possibly ether or chloroform
The square tin box forms the main part of the inhaler, being attached to a face mask. rebreathing bag made from animal membrane is also attached. The connecting metal tube has ports cut within it, which can be rotated to allow the inhalation of fresh air or vapour from the rebreathing bag.
While the inhaler is marked with the French for 'registered design', its' maker cannot be traced.
