Silver auriscope

Silver Brunton type auriscope, for examining the inside of the ear, in box, 1862-1900

Auriscopes of this design were developed by Scotsman John Brunton (1835-1899), a surgeon and obstetrician working in London. They are considered the first compacyt and easily portable version of the instrument.
