Stamps: Buses. Classic British Double-Deckers. Comprising 1 strip set of 5 first class stamps in Presentation Pack No. 323, issued by Royal Mail [Consignia] on 15 May 2001. 11.5x21.5cm. Artist-designer Michael English. To commemorate the 150th anniversary of the earliest double-decker bus. The double-decker was originally introduced to ease the congestion created by visitors to the Great Exhibition of 1851. Stamps feature 16 buses in historical order 1908-1999; pack inside cover illustrated with historical bus tickets; 4pp technical specifications and descriptions. With minisheet 10.5x12cm, set of 6 postcards 10.5x15cm, First Day Cover franked 15 May 2001.
