Thorn/EMI Liberator, portable personal laptop word processor by Thorn/EMI, 1985
The Liberator was produced in 1985 by Thorn/EMI as a special government (CCTA) commission. Designed as a user friendly appliance to meet the needs of mobile civil servants and judges. At around 25cm long and weighing under 2Kg it was far easier to carry and use than laptops of that era.
