Medal, OBE, recipient currently unidentified, awarded in reign of King George VI [1936-52]. Metal [brass plated] quatrefoil with crown and suspension ring, and purple ribbon to pinbar; 11x5cm in case 13.5x7x2cm. obverse centre, border legend FOR GOD AND THE EMPIRE around exergue Britannia. reverse, monogram initials GRI below crown, platemarks [to check]. Case by Garrard & Co Ltd by special appointment to his Majesty the King, 24 Albemarle St London Dalhousie & Calcutta.
