Europa 2001: Vattnet en Naturrikedom = Water, a Natural Treasure. Set of 4 stamps each 7kr, issued by Posten Frimarken, Sweden, 22 March 2001. Folder 9.8x6.3cm unfolding to 19.4x6.3cm. 'Europa' for use to elsewhere in Europe, also with 1st class stickers. Sweden held Presidency of the European Union January-June 2001. Environmental pollution a high profile issue for Sweden; these stamps commemorate the 'recent' [1990s?] EU Water Framework Directive to ensure availability of cleaner water in Europe. Stamps include Swedish watermap and pair featuring locks of the Trollhatte Canal
