Serum amyloid A enzyme immunoassay made by Tridelta Development Limited, County Wicklow, Ireland, in 2001. A multi-species ELISA assay used in the laboratory to detect raised levels of the acute phase protein, serum amyloid A (SAA), as a quantifiable method of evaluating the health of animals. Endorsed by Marks & Spencer in May 2001, as a means of bioassurance, to guarantee the quality of meat from farms and abbatoirs supplying their stores. Contains a microplate, four bottles and three vials of reagents.
