Porcine C-reactive protein enzyme immunoassay made by Tridelta Development Limited, County Wicklow, Ireland, in 2001. An ELISA assay used in the laboratory to detect raised levels of the acute phase protein, C-reactive protein, as a quantifiable method of evaluating the health of pigs. Endorsed by Marks & Spencer in May 2001, as a means of bioassurance, to guarantee the quality of meat from farms and abbatoirs supplying their stores. Contains a microplate, five bottles and one vial of reagents.
