Knitted light blue wool in a Klein bottle shape, by Alexander Crum Brown, Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom, 1890-1910
Crum-Brown knitted a variety of topological surfaces in his later years, including this Klein ‘bottle’, introduced by Felix Klein in 1882. It has no edge, no inside or outside, and cannot be constructed properly in only three dimensions.
