Demonstration Orrery

Orreries are models of the solar system, and are named after the fourth Earl of Orrery, who purchased one of the earliest to be made in about 1712. The Science Museum has a number of orreries but most are from the 18th century. This is a modern orrery made by Bahram Momeny in 2002 and was acquired as suitable for displays about present-day planetary exploration.
