Exergue: DER GROSSDAMPFER = LUSITANIA = DURCH EIN DEUTSCHES TAUCHBOOT VERSENKT 5 MAY1915 The 'Lusitania' was torpedoed and sunk by a German submarine on 7 May 1915. Probably a British copy after the original by Karl Goetz.
