One of two cartons of slimming pills, by Savory and Moore Ltd., English
Two slimming tablets were taken at night and one in the morning to lose weight. It is not clear whether or not these worked. Many slimming pills once contained an addictive and now controlled substance called amphetamine sulphate.
The pills were made by Savory and Moore (active 1794-1992), and John Bell and Croydon, founded in 1798, both manufacturing chemists based in London.
